Doctor of Science (2016) from the UFRJ Graduate Program in Clinical Medicine, presenting microarray, PCR, and flow cytometry as part of the experimental component. She completed a sandwich doctorate at the University of Salamanca, Spain (2012-2013), in the cancer research sector. She completed her postdoctoral studies in collaboration between UFRJ and the University of Maryland (USA), receiving a scholarship from the NIH (2017) for a project on molecular biology, African ancestry, and sickle cell anemia. Since 2010, she has been a member of the team at the Multidisciplinary Laboratory of IPPMG/UFRJ - Flow Cytometry Laboratory. She is currently a civil servant at UFRJ, responsible for the immunophenotyping of hematological neoplasms affecting the myeloid sector. She has experience in the field of biological sciences, with an emphasis on the following topics: immunophenotyping, molecular biology, myelodysplastic syndromes, pediatric acute leukemias, science communication, sickle cell anemia and thalassemias, heme metabolism, and hematopoiesis.
