Starting in 2025, part of the registration process for faculty and students on the Sucupira Platform will be carried out directly by the users themselves. This update is particularly important regarding persistent identifiers, which allow the integration of information with major academic databases such as CV Lattes, Web of Science (ResearcherID), Scopus, and ORCID.
The CAPES has announced a new deadline for updating the data, accompanied by an official new schedule. All faculty and students must review and complete their information by the new date set, ensuring that all identifiers and personal data are properly filled in.
The update follows a new focus defined by CAPES, which now prioritizes the regularity and accuracy of users’ personal data on the Sucupira Platform. It is essential that fields such as email and phone are valid, current, and exactly match those used in the registrations of academic databases and persistent identifiers.
Registration on the Sucupira Platform:
The procedure is individual and cannot be carried out by third parties. The program does not have permission to update information on behalf of faculty or students. If in doubt or facing technical difficulties, users should contact the Sucupira Platform support directly.
The verification and completion of the data must be completed until november 27. CAPES has provided an explanatory video about the process.
Each Graduate Program must reach at least 95% completion of registrations in order to meet the requirements of the Graduate Census and have its report approved on the platform.

• Lattes Platform: Essential for all levels of the Program. If your Lattes CV is not active, it must be updated as soon as possible.
• ORCID: Register and copy your ORCID iD to use in the Sucupira registration.
• ResearcherID: Create an account, validate your email, and access your profile on Web of Science (Clarivate) to obtain your identifier.
• Scopus ID: Register on Scopus. If you already have published articles, use the ScopusID available on your profile. If it does not appear, contact Scopus support (responses may take up to 48 hours).
