27 08 ppgcm corpo do artigo Omar LupiHe holds a degree in Medicine from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1990), a master's degree in Medicine (Dermatology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1995), a doctorate in Medicine (Dermatology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1998), and a postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Texas Medical Branch (Galveston/TX from 2001 to 2002). He has been an Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Uni-Rio) since 2004. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor of Dermatology at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Uni-Rio), a Collaborating Researcher at BioVasc of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), a Permanent Faculty Member of the Graduate Program in Internal Medicine at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Deputy Head of the Clinical Immunology Service at the Clementino Fraga Filho University Hospital of UFRJ, and a Full Professor of the Medical Graduate Program at the Carlos Chagas Institute, serving as Head of the Dermatology Service at the General Polyclinic of Rio de Janeiro (PGRJ). He was President of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology (SBD) for the 2009/2010 term after holding various positions within its organizational structure. He is the Vice President of the Ibero-Latin American College of Dermatology (CILAD) for the 2013-2016 term, presiding over the XX CILAD Congress in November 2014. He is a member of the editorial board and a peer reviewer for several national and international journals, including the International Journal of Dermatology, Anais Brasileiros de Dermatologia, Mycoses (Berlin), Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Dermatology, working mainly on the following topics: herpes simplex, skin cancer, herpesvirus infections, dengue, hemorrhagic fevers, dermatovirology, cutaneous microcirculation, and diseases related to protein conformations. He has been a Full Member of the National Academy of Medicine (ANM) since 2011.
