Graduated in medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1988), with a master's degree in Internal Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1995) and a PhD in Clinical Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2010). Currently, she is a physician at the Clementino Fraga Filho Hospital and a professor in the Graduate Program in Clinical Medicine at UFRJ. She has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Clinical Medicine and Hepatology, primarily working on the following topics: type 2 diabetes, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, epidemiology, and therapy.
