Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Fundação Técnico-Educacional Souza Marques - School of Medicine (1985), Master's degree in Pediatrics from the Institute of Child Care and Pediatrics Martagão Gesteira (IPPMG)/Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) (1994), and Ph.D. from the Graduate Program in Genetics at the Institute of Biology - Center for Health Sciences/UFRJ (2003). Currently, she is a Full Professor of Clinical Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine/UFRJ and a Permanent Faculty Member of the Graduate Programs in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the Faculty of Medicine/UFRJ, as well as the Graduate Program in Maternal and Child Health at IPPMG/UFRJ.
