Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Fluminense. Master’s in Endocrinology from UFRJ. Doctorate in Clinical Medicine/Nutrition from UFRJ. Research Fellow at Joslin Diabetes Clinic/Harvard Medical School in 1998/1999. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, head of the Nutrition Service at the Clementino Fraga Filho University Hospital of UFRJ. She coordinates the Unit of Endocrine-Metabolic Disorders at the Maternity School of UFRJ and is a co-coordinator of the Medical Residency Program in Endocrinology and Metabolism at UFRJ. She leads the Diabetes, Pregnancy, and Women's Health Department of the Brazilian Diabetes Society and is a former regional president for RJ of the Brazilian Diabetes Society. She has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Endocrinology and Diabetes, primarily working on the following topics: diabetes and diabetes in pregnancy.
