He holds a degree in Medicine from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1983), a Master's in Pediatrics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1995), and a Ph.D. in Clinical Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2013). He is currently a physician at the State University of Rio de Janeiro and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Pediatric Rheumatology, primarily working on the following topics: juvenile idiopathic arthritis, rheumatic fever, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, limb pain, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
