27 08 ppgcm corpo do artigo silhuetaHe holds a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (1995), a master's degree (2002), and a doctorate (2004) in Internal Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He is currently a researcher at the Intensive Medicine Department of the D'Or Institute for Research and Education (IDOR), a permanent lecturer in the Graduate Program in Medical Sciences at IDOR, and a collaborative lecturer in the Graduate Program in Internal Medicine at UFRJ. He is a founding member of the Coordinating Committee of BRICNet - Brazilian Research in Intensive Care Network and the Caring for Critically Ill Immunocompromised Patients Multinational Network - The Nine-i Network. He was an associate editor for Intensive Care Medicine and the Brazilian Journal of Intensive Care. He acts as a reviewer for various scientific journals in the fields of intensive medicine, oncology, and epidemiology. He is a CNPq Researcher 1D and a FAPERJ Scientist of Our State. He is a founding partner and Director of Research and Development at Epimed Solutions, responsible for developing the Epimed Monitor System, which provides analytics, benchmarking, and predictive analysis solutions for ICUs and hospitals in Europe and Latin America. He has experience in innovation and the development of information technology solutions for benchmarking and evaluating clinical performance and efficiency in the hospital healthcare and Clinical Research in Intensive Medicine, primarily focusing on the following topics: research with large databases, prognostic analysis, performance and efficiency assessment in ICUs, organization, quality and patient safety in ICUs, intensive care for cancer patients, and epidemiological studies in patients admitted to intensive care.

He is a physician and Head of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Department at the Federal Hospital of Bonsucesso (Ministry of Health - Brazil), an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, and a fellow of the Research and Productivity Program at Estácio de Sá University. His main areas of focus include: liver cirrhosis and its complications (renal failure, acute-on-chronic liver failure, hepatic encephalopathy, bacterial infections), non-invasive methods for assessing hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic liver diseases, and viral hepatitis in special situations (decompensated cirrhosis, renal failure, and kidney transplantation).

Served as Director of the Research Division at the Clementino Fraga Filho University Hospital (HUCFF-UFRJ) from July 2018 to March 2020. Physician in the Clinical Medicine Service at HUCFF, coordinator of the Resistant Arterial Hypertension Program (ProHArt-HUCFF), the first Center of Excellence in Arterial Hypertension in Brazil, a title conferred by the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) in 2011. Responsible for the Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring - MAPA and Home Blood Pressure Monitoring - MRPA sectors of ProHArt-HUCFF. Credentialed as a Permanent Faculty Member of the Graduate Program in Clinical Medicine at UFRJ (CAPES-score 7). Collaborative faculty member of the Graduate Program in Dentistry IDOMED/Estácio and the Graduate Program in Family Health IDOMED/Estácio. Full professor in the Medicine Course at IDOMED/Estácio de Sá University, where she teaches Clinical Medicine and is the coordinator of the LapARC Study (Study of Cardiovascular Risk Assessment in young adults living in Lapa), a project involving Extension and Scientific Initiation students from the Medicine Course at IDOMED/Estácio, Campus Vista Carioca, and the CuidArt Study on the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions in controlling arterial hypertension and reducing cardiovascular risk - a randomized clinical trial. Member of the Advisory Council for Latin America of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH). Member of the European Society of Hypertension (ESH), the Inter-American Society of Hypertension (IASH), and the Brazilian Societies of Cardiology (SBC) and Hypertension (SBH). Has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Clinical Medicine, mainly focusing on the following topics: Arterial Hypertension, Resistant Arterial Hypertension, MAPA, MRPA, Cardiovascular Risk, and Sleep Apnea. Was a FAPERJ Fellow - Young Scientist of Our State from 2010 to 2015 (two terms). Has held a CNPq Level I-B Productivity in Research Grant since 2011. Fellow of the Productivity Research Program at Estácio de Sá University from 2016-2020. Included in the list of Latin America Top 10,000 Scientists at AD Scientific Index 2021, being one of the 323 listed at UFRJ and one of the 6 listed at UNESA.
